Description:
JOB LOCATION: AJMAN
Our client is a holding company in the UAE that holds franchises for multiple global brands of hotels, a real estate company, and other businesses under the group.
They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Advisor specializing in local regulations, particularly focused on the Land Department across all Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and a deep understanding of the legal intricacies surrounding land transactions and regulations in the UAE.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in law from a reputable institution; additional certifications or specializations in real estate law are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Advisor or Lawyer, with a focus on real estate law and land department regulations in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulations, procedures, and practices related to the Land Department across all Emirates.
- Proven experience in handling real estate transactions, property acquisitions, leasing agreements, and development projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government authorities.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Fluency in Arabic and English languages is mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local regulations and laws pertaining to land transactions and development projects.
- Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters related to the Land Department regulations, property ownership, leasing, and development.
- Documentation Review: Review and draft legal documents, contracts, agreements, and leases related to land transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, property assessments, and regulatory compliance checks.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation matters related to land transactions, representing the company’s interests in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in local laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting land transactions and provide proactive advice to the management team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including real estate development, finance, and operations, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks associated with land transactions.
