The legal analyst will provide support to the General Counsel, Litigation & Regulation with case/counsel management for the firm’s more complex litigations, internal investigations, and responses to regulatory inquires as well generally covering less complex matters and one-off inquiries. Additionally, the legal analyst will provide ad hoc support for the Employment Law Team. The role provides a broad range of litigation support services especially internal/external coordination.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing the Company’s record retention, departing personnel, and litigation hold policies
  • Liaise with external counsel and litigation support vendors; manage all stages of electronic and other discovery
  • Maintain matter and legal hold database; identify, collect, and update data
  • Provide support and coordination for internal investigations
  • Prepare responses to requests from regulators
  • Assist with litigation, regulation, and employment law-related investor diligence queries
  • Assist with the preparation of documents related to the development/implementation of all information governance practices
  • Support the implementation of various special projects, including preparing presentation materials, organizing and tracking the development of project documentation, and assisting attorneys in the presentation of such materials
  • Partner with external counsel and the legal billing team to ensure the timely matter creation, and invoice submission, processing, and payment; process settlement payments and other ad hoc billing matters

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience supporting litigation and regulatory matters required; experience working in or in support of financial services firms preferred
  • Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships and credibility with relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to anticipate/accommodate the ongoing needs of senior-level stakeholders; provide “high touch” client service
  • Highly organized and proactive; able to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range
85,000 - 100,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
