In the Legal Assistant role, based in Vancouver, you will support Ausenco’s North American legal team, working with a variety of multidisciplinary professionals to achieve team goals and deliver high-quality work for our clients.
To be successful in this role you should be able to take initiative and multi-task, as well as be flexible/adaptable and have a service-oriented approach to your work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the filing of legal documents in appropriate subfolders in accordance with required naming and metadata conventions
  • Update and maintain tracking of projects, contracts, and approvals on various platforms
  • Oversee the North American legal inbox and direct requests appropriately to various legal and other internal staff
  • Ensure adequate record keeping of executed documents, approval trails and other legal documentation is maintained in various databases
  • Provide support for job opening documentation
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Administer the maintenance of permits, insurance certificates/claims and business licenses in various locations across North America
  • Support the administrative function of the legal team, including the tracking and payment of legal invoices from external firms
  • Schedule meetings as required by the North American legal department
  • Additional administrative tasks as required from time to time by lawyers in the North American team
