This role would suit a steady, articulate and efficient Legal Assistant who is looking for a role within a wonderful team. The successful candidate for this opportunity will have the following:

  • High attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate high-quality work in a timely manner;
  • Experienced in Word and other Microsoft documents, including Sharepoint (particularly formatting);
  • Be proactive and anticipate the needs of your lawyers; and
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Commercial team in Melbourne. Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Collation of large contracts, agreements and documents (adding annexures etc);
  • File management;
  • Preparing documents for signing / distributing correspondence, including Letters of Engagement;
  • Matter management including opening and preparing new files and managing the billing process;
  • Answering and screening calls, taking accurate and detailed messages and dealing with client queries;
  • General administrative duties such as organising meetings, filing, printing and collating folders, searches, uploading documents and folders to iManage; and
  • Proofing documents.
