REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Financial Services or Corporate Law
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
- Knowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison program
- Overtime, as required
- Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
SKILLS:
- Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents
- Familiarity with iManage, Aderant, CorpLink and DocuSign
- Posses a strong sense of pride and responsibility for your work

Responsibilities:
- Create, revise and format all documentation to the highest quality with extreme attention to detail
- Prepare, edit and finalize a variety of transactional documents relating to corporate reorganizations, share/asset purchase and sale transactions
- Create signature packages for closings
- Organize and track delivery of closing documents
- Assist with all administrative aspects of corporate transactions and post‑closing matters (including wires and record books)
- Produce high volumes of quality work under tight deadlines
- Proofreading, strong accuracy and quick turnaround time is essential
- Organized and meticulous with follow-up
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Handle all administrative details with respect to accounting, expenses, wires, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, e-filing, etc.
- Ensure all e-filing is organized, up to date and easily available
- Draft letter and email correspondence to forward incoming mail to clients
- Communicate professionally with all external clients
