Description:

We are a Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation firm that is on track for aggressive growth, and we need an experienced Personal Injury Secretary to join our team and work directly with the owner and attorney to support the team and help clients.
We want to be known for helping clients come out of devastating accidents feeling as though they have a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We want to grow fast, and we need a Personal Injury Secretary who can hit the ground running.Compensation:
$18 - $20 hourlyResponsibilities:
- Opening new matters
- Scanning & Labeling Incoming Mail into our Case Management
- Customer service with clients
- Answering Incoming Calls
- Document retrieval, management, and organization
- Ensuring that documents are properly saved to the Case Management System
- Drafting and sending routine correspondence
- Managing case files
- Collecting information from various sources including email, other correspondence, and other documents
- Preparing legal filings and discovery: format documents, pull exhibits, proofread and redact documents
- Preparing court forms such as notices and other simple pleadings
- Creating and maintaining case contact sheets
- Calendaring to maintain attorney calendars and ensure all dates/deadlines are calendared
- Deposition scheduling
Qualifications:
- Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
- Candidates should be able to type at least 50 words per minute
- Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
- Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products
- At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
