EXPERIENCE
As the successful candidate, you will have prior experience in an administrative role within the legal industry, with a keen desire to pursue a career in this space.
You will also demonstrate the following:
- An ability to exercise initiative;
- Maturity around confidential and sensitive information;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
- An ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines;
- Impeccable attention to detail;
- Self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; and
- Strong technical skills and understanding of software applications.
Responsibilities:
Due to growth within the team, we are recruiting for an energetic and enthusiastic Legal Assistant.
While each day will be different, key elements of the role will include:
- Secretarial support for high volume general administrative tasks;
- Word processing, typing and amending documents and correspondence;
- Day to day filing, scanning, copying and saving of emails and legal documents;
- Taking messages accurately and directing through to appropriate channels;
- Diary management for authors, including booking meetings either in person or virtually;
- Domestic travel arrangements;
- Processing of credit card reconciliation and reimbursements;
- File opening and closing; and
- Time entry, monthly billing and reporting including client-specific reporting and uploading of invoices to portals.
