ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have:

• Ideally a minimum of 3 years Legal Cashier experience with a high level of understanding and awareness of the Solicitor Accounts Rules
• High attention to detail and accuracy;
• Strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise work;
• Good communication;
• Strong numeracy, with a GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent, grade C/4 or above.

Our busy Finance Department are responsible for the accounting and finance functions across the Firm. This is ensuring that all day to day recording of financial transactions are dealt with accurately, promptly and in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
As an important member of the Cash Office Team, you will provide support across the whole firm to protect our client’s monies and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

The role will be varied which will include, but is not limited to:

• Daily banking functions;
• Dealing with all aspects of purchase ledger, posting invoices, processing payments and reconciling statements.
• Processing of client account transactions, including postings onto the finance and banking system;
• Preparation of office payments on the finance and banking system.
• Assisting with the weekly Legal Aid statement
• Assisting with Deputyship payments and receipts
