Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Legal Claims Assistant I to join our growing team!

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

  • Setting up new files in our online system, drafting correspondence, court documents, briefing files and ultimately closing files.
  • Scheduling examination tor discovery, examinations under oath, mediations, meetings and various hearings at court.
  • Maintaining Legal Counsel’s calendar, supervising their practice and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Word processing, electronic filing and general office duties.
  • Accomplishing your key responsibilities.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, photocopying, drafting correspondence, preparing pleadings, creating and updating trial binders, etc.
  • Implement an effective diary system to help manage the lawyer’s practice.
  • Partners with assigned lawyers in managing workflow, monitoring calendars and meeting various deadlines.
  • Support clients to schedule appointments; exchange and obtain information and communicate case progress.
  • Review and manage documents with software programs.
