Description:
The Legal Clerk Team Lead will support the in-office Legal Clerk team by providing support, leading improvement efforts, tracking performance, training/onboarding, and providing relief, when necessary. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within the company
Responsibilities
- Supervise inbound mail processing and filing, outbound client and law enforcement correspondence, USCIS submissions, and client document reviews
- Ensure quality by reviewing and shadowing team member work
- Create reports, update run charts, and track performance and productivity daily
- Continuous improvement of processes to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Develop, implement, and update standard operating procedures using internal feedback from team members and external guidance from leadership.
- Maintain accountability of the team by giving feedback, training, and coaching
- Conduct daily huddles with team using presentation software to express targets, metrics, and delegation of tasks
- Provide relief for team members, as needed, during team member absences, catch-up periods, or periods of high-volume
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience documenting standardized process guidelines in written form
- Problem-solve independently or with the support of leadership
- Embrace constructive criticism, coaching, and development
- Adapt to changes to procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills
- Typing - MS Word and MS Excel
- Document Management - DropBox and/or Sharepoint
- Email - MS Outlook
- Document Editing – Adobe Acrobat
- Salesforce and/or Litify experience a plus
- Administrative assistant experience with previous experience in a Law Firm a plus
