In order to strengthen its central legal team, Schréder wishes to hire a Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore, who will work to support the APAC and South Africa business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Providing legal advice on public procurement related activities and participating in multi-disciplinary task force for public tenders
• Negotiation, drafting, analysis, and review of various commercial agreements (distribution, agency, license, services, etc.)
• Management of litigation in close cooperation with local lawyers
• Advising the subsidiaries on an occasional basis on a variety of legal matters relating to e.g. competition law, financing solutions, social law and HR matters in order to harmonize good legal practices
• Contribute to elaborate various internal policies and procedures
• Risk management
• Provide training and guidance to the business

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree in Law and relevant experience of minimum 7 years as a lawyer and/or as an inhouse legal counsel in an international environment
• You have experience with corporate law and commercial contracts e.g. distribution agreements (drafting and negotiating) and notions of competition law
• Experience in public procurement and/or litigation is a strong asset/must
• You are fluent (oral and written) in English. Additional languages are an asset
• You are customer focused, solution oriented and ensure timely follow-up with a sense of urgency
• You are flexible regarding working hours, taking into account the different time zones of the business
• You are autonomous and able to organize your work in a hybrid working environment
• You have strong organizational and project management skills to enable management of multiple projects
• You are able to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside of the company
• You are a team player and able to work independently and on own initiative
• You are open minded, a good listener and easily approachable and appreciative of cultural differences
• You are able to analyze and advise on complex legal matters and to communicate clearly and effectively to the business
• You actively seek out new ideas, take risks based on a rational analysis, challenge the status quo of work processes and systems
• You have a business ethical mindset
• You are willing to work from the office and you are prepared to travel on an occasional basis
