For our client, a a prestigious Financial Services organization at the forefront of the industry, renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, we are looking for a Legal Counsel specialized in Commodities, to join their team in Zug or Geneva.
This job is for an experienced Commodities Legal Counsel who is looking to grow in a fast-paced Financial Services institution, with the chance to acquire further experience in the Commodities sector, and truly leave the mark on a recently set-up Commodities desk. This is a chance to truly help and shape part of the business!

About the job:

• Provide expert legal advice and support on commodities and derivatives transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
• Stay informed about changes in commodities markets, regulations, and legal developments.

About the candidate:

• Qualified lawyer with Bar Exam admission in the UK or the US.
• Additional EU qualification preferred.
• 5-7 years of PQE, with significant experience in commodities and derivatives.
• Prior experience in a Law Firm, with in-house experience considered a plus.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of commodities markets, particularly metals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
