Description:
Based in the north of Singapore, our Client is an industrial powerhouse committed to delivering quality, cutting edge technologies to their customers worldwide.
They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join them. You will oversee the Company’s business conduct in compliance to local & international law and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least a Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable law school;
- At least 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in the same or related roles of an in-house legal team and/or in private practice in those areas mentioned above;
- Experienced working on cross border transactions, preferably with exposure to Asia PacificExperienced working in a multinational manufacturing, industry in particular manufacturing and supply of electronics product

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the General Counsel and working with other members of the leadership team and external counsel in Singapore and overseas subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with functional stakeholders and management to provide legal support and advice to various business groups across the Group.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents across the Group.
- Identify potential legal issues in the Group’s operation and offer proactive advice on legal issues.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (business partners, regulators, vendors and outside counsel etc) as and when necessary.
- Confident to work independently and possess work experiences in at least two of the following areas: Contract laws; Corporate laws; Data Protection laws; Employment Laws; Commercialisation of Intellectual Properties; Sanction laws; or Litigation.
