We are looking for a Legal Counsel for Equans Belux’s Industry South Business Unit, spread across several sites mainly in Grimbergen, Nivelles, Fleurus, and Ans. The legal team of the BU travels according to business needs and is integrated into the legal team of all the BUs of Equans Belux, whose headquarters are located in Brussels, next to the North station.
Every day, we work on small and large industrial projects of the future in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Europe.
Whether it’s a Battery Energy Storage project, energy recovery, dismantling or nuclear transport, maintenance, etc., as a Legal Counsel, you see the results and impact of your work around you every day.

DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND TALENTS? YOU ARE THE COLLEAGUE WE ARE LOOKING FOR!

• you have a master’s degree in law
• you have at least 3 years of experience and an interest in contract law, construction law, and public procurement
• you have a talent and interest in negotiating complex contracts and transactions
• you have an interest and understanding of the non-legal aspects of a project: technical, commercial, financial, and strategic aspects
• you have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• you are pragmatic, proactive, assertive, flexible, positive, and open-minded
• you have confidence, self-assurance, and a true team spirit, while being able to work autonomously
• you are fluent in French (and at least understand Dutch) and English; German is an asset

• analyze public and private tender documents (during the tender phase) and provide practical advice (also during the execution phase)
• draft, negotiate all kinds of contracts, including complex contracts, consortiums/JV, maintenance contracts, etc.
• provide practical legal advice on a wide variety of legal issues related to all Equans activities (contract law, public procurement law, etc.)
• give practical training to operational staff
• contribute to the continuous development of the legal service
• follow national and international litigation in which Equans is involved
