What you’ll do

  • Advise on all regulatory matters concerning financial markets, (e.g. WpHG, WpIG, MiFID 2, MiFIR, Transparency Directive)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, such as distribution agreements and cooperation agreements with various Leonteq entities
  • Advise on EU data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR), supporting the Group DPO
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide legal support on structured products
  • Stay updated on legal developments and regulatory changes affecting the financial services industry and the Leonteq Group
  • Support the business in navigating complex regulatory environments and provide strategic legal advice
  • Engage and liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g. BaFin) and external advisors

What you’ll need

  • Qualified to practice law in Germany
  • At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, preferably within the financial services or capital markets sector (whether in-house or at a specialized law firm)
  • Strong expertise in regulatory aspects of financial markets, with a focus on structured products, and good knowledge of data protection issues
  • Willingness to engage in a diverse range of tasks and work on the development of new business initiatives
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Additional degrees (e.g. LLM) and knowledge of other European languages
