Legal Counsel – Middle East

We are seeking a Mid-Level Legal Counsel- Middle East with experience in construction and engineering services matters both transactional and dispute resolution to be part of the in-region legal team responsible for AtkinsRealis’ legal activites in the Middle East.
In this role you will be reporting jointly to the Senior Director and Head of Litigation UK&E, MEA and APAC and the Regional General Counsel and will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

  • Contract and bid review and advice.
  • Ensure that material litigation and arbitration in the region have strategy roadmaps, are appropriately resourced internally (commercial and legal), have well managed budgets and workplans to ensure greater likelihood of expected outcomes.
  • Understand, consult on, and provide proactive advice regarding complex litigation, arbitration or regulatory matters in the Middle East and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiating and advising on complex and high value Professional Services contracts under both international and local jurisdictions.
  • Draft and advise on various ancillary legal documents including NDA’s, Settlements, Variations and contractual notices
  • Regular reporting and updating on status of all matters in the region.
  • Partner with and efficiently manage outside counsel and other legal service providers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to legal matters in the Middle East.
