Are you an analytical problem-solver with great collaboration skills? The NOVO Energy team is growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Legal Counsel to help our Legal team create organizational excellence!
We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe.
Volvo Cars is one of the most well-known and respected car brands in the world. Northvolt is a leading supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems, dedicated to delivering the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery.
Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo cars.
What you will do
As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in ensuring our legal compliance and guiding strategic decisions. You will be part of our inhouse Legal team and provide business-oriented legal support to the entire NOVO Energy organization. You will report to the General Counsel.
As part of the Legal team, you will support in a wide scope of legal areas, with focus on commercial law. The role is hands-on, and you will work directly with the relevant stakeholders in the organization.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational degree: Law degree from an accredited law school in Sweden.
• Min. 5 years experience from a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work proactively as well as independently.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience from IP Law or Real Estate Law is meriting.
  This role is based in our office in Torslanda, Gothenburg and starting date upon agreement. Please submit your application as soon as possible since we will review applications on an ongoing basis.

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, contracts, templates, and agreements.
• Assisting in regulatory compliance efforts and staying up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
• Providing legal training and support to various parts of the organization such as Facility/EPC, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Corporate functions, and R&D.
• Securing compliance by setting policies and guidelines in matters such as anti-bribery, fair competition and GDPR.
