Description:
Fantastic opportunity for a construction lawyer to join this collaborative legal team. This role will suit someone who is technically proficient and enjoys people development/management.
Our client are looking for someone with at least 8 years experience of working in a private practice construction team or who is already in-house and looking for a positive change.
Previous legal experience in the construction industry (PP or in-house) will be essential and someone who has had supervision and development of junior lawyers would be highly desirable.
Your role will be to:
- participate as a member of the construction tendering and project teams
- advise, draft and amend standard and bespoke contracts
- review and advise on technical contract documents and influence their development to ensure legal efficacy
- advise on options in respect of, and conduct resolution of claims and disputes, including agreeing negotiating strategies with the business and conducting negotiations either as part of a client led team or direct with solicitors acting for customers, contractors and suppliers
