Job Description Summary: We are looking for a Legal Operations Specialist to support PayPal Singapore, where he/she will steer process improvement initiatives for the Commercial Legal team, help drive better efficiencies in the day-to-day contract management activities, including metrics and training material.
Job Description:
You will be a strong problem solver as part of the Legal Ops team, to evaluate current processes and workflows, be able to identify gaps and lastly to execute efficiencies against them. You should be comfortable operating in a culture of change management and transformation.

In your day-to-day role you will:

  • Identify areas for process improvement: Streamline and redesign processes within Legal (be it operational activities or system improvement or tools enhancement)
  • Identify gaps, communicate to leadership and make recommendations to address process inefficiencies. Lead process transformation initiatives.
  • Create and maintain user guides and/or training materials to provide onboarding, training and technical support to legal teammates and business customers on new technology tools and procedures.
  • Provide guidance on technology and systems to improve team productivity and efficiency - in collaboration with IT, and manage the design, rollout and training for new and updated systems.
  • Support contract management and execution process, include local wet signature execution. Some tasks need to be completed in person, so office visits are required on a rotational and as-needed basis;
  • Read and analyze contracts for specific terms and requirements in support of audits
  • Support the legal operations team with process improvements and system trainings
  • Assist with running electronic and hardcopy reports and creating departmental metrics to assist the company in budgeting and strategic planning;
  • Assign contracts to attorneys

What do you need to bring:

  • Diploma/Degree certification would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in legal operations for a large multinational corporate or law firm
  • Proven track record of initiating change management and execution on process improvement would be mandatory
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and solutioning, comfortable to challenge status quo in seek for overall efficiencies and better team collaboration
  • Technologically savvy with an interest in contract management tools and extreme competency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, & Microsoft Outlook
  • Preferred: Experience using PowerBI (or PowerAutomate tools) for workflow and CLM systems (Salesforce)
  • Ability to read contracts with an eye for specific legal provisions (such as termination, exclusivity and pricing)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently under strong organizational skills
  • Confident self-starter with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Fluency (reading/writing/speaking) in English is essential
  • Adaptable individual possessing high integrity, excellent judgment, a sense of humour and a love for fun and adventure
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for the PayPal business/products
