About the role:

  • Manage the day to day running of the team including the line management and supervision of PAs, DPU operators and Administration Assistants, reporting any issues to the Secretarial & Administration Manager
  • Effectively manage resource and capacity across teams and Practice Groups ensuring resource plans are maintained and utilised appropriately
  • Manage team performance against service levels
  • Manage workload across BigHand ensuring SLAs are achieved
  • Manage teams to ensure consistency in delivery from a customer, process and system perspective
  • Litigation experience desirable
  • Manage individual performance including objective setting and conducting performance reviews and appraisals
  • Communicate effectively with team and individuals and attend meetings as required
  • Maintain relationships with internal clients to ensure service expectations are met developing relationships with Partners and Fee Earners to act as a conduit for communication and issues
  • Act as point of contact for all work coming into the team and ensuring it is scheduled according to the communicated Service Level Agreements
  • Liaise with clients across the business to ensure they are provided with the best possible service at all times including resolving work-related queries
  • Authorise holidays and monitor sickness absence for the tea
