Responsibilities:
An exciting career opportunity exists in our busy Melbourne office for an experienced full-time Legal Secretary in our Professional Indemnity practice group.
Some of your duties will include:
- Collating and editing court documents, including ‘splitting’ electronic files
- File management, including opening new files and closing/archiving concluded matters
- Drafting correspondence and documents, briefs to Counsel and briefs to medical experts
- Filing documents with the Courts
- Telephone calls to clients, Courts, other law firms and third parties
- Monthly billing, including invoicing and preparation of bills. Previous experience with Aderant/Expert Billing will be highly regarded
