Legal Secretary - Litigation Specialist

Position Overview: As a Legal Secretary specializing in litigation, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal team in managing a variety of complex cases. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support, managing documentation, coordinating court filings, and communicating with clients and external parties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, with a strong background in litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals, including drafting correspondence, preparing legal documents, and managing calendars and appointments.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate court filings, including electronic filings, and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and external parties, both verbally and in writing.
  • Conduct legal research and compile information as needed to support case preparation.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of invoices to clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, with a focus on litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Certificate or diploma in legal studies or related field preferred.
