    Our client is open to either full-time or part-time hours - so if you are wanting school hours, a 4 day week, a 9 day fortnight or a unique combination, then we are happy to discuss!
    Here you will join a well-established business who are growing their team in their Sydney office. They work hard, but they love to have a laugh when they don’t have their heads down and tails up! The best part - you won’t be doing any billing as part of your role.
    This role is perfect for someone with defendant insurance litigation experience with a solid understanding of legal and court documents.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

  • Recent experience in a Legal office (ideally 3+ years)
  • Experience in defendant insurance legal
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Team player – happy to be a support/go-to person
  • Accurate typing speed (touch typist)
  • You are excellent when it comes to attention to detail, spelling and grammar
  • Must be happy working in the CBD based office

Responsibilities:

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide support to Legal Practitioner Director and Solicitors
  • Work closely with other legal secretaries both in Sydney and other states
  • Data entry of details into LEAP and Excel
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Perform online searches, typing of contracts, documents and letters
  • Prepare briefs and court documents
  • Print documents for review
  • Put documents in alphabetical order
  • Separate out PDF documents
  • Occasional court filing and run general errands
  • First point of call for phones
  • File maintenance including scanning and electronic filing
  • Utilise Dropbox and maintain Excel spread sheets
  • Assist with file settlement procedures, including statutory refunds for personal injury matters
  • Set up Teams meetings in the boardroom
  • Greet clients and offer refreshments
  • Ad hoc administration and coordination tasks
