Description:

LEGAL SUMMER ASSOCIATE- SUMMER 2024:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Legal Department as a Summer Intern. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to assist our team under the guidance of our General Counsel in various research and record-keeping projects. This internship offers a unique learning experience in a dynamic legal environment.
PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. REQUIREMENTS

  • Rising 2L or 3L status by summer 2024 and class rank of at least Top Third or its equivalent at enrolled ABA accredited law school.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills.
  • Covid-19 vaccine is required – reasonable accommodations will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research projects assigned by members of the Legal Department.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining legal records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to support ongoing cases, deals and initiatives.
  • Analyze and summarize legal documents, statutes, and regulations.
  • Prepare memos, reports, and presentations based on research findings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
