We have an exciting new position for a creative IT Innovator.
We are looking for someone with a solid background in legal technology innovation. A visionary, with keen appetite for cutting-edge legal technology that can help us build a positive reputation in this area, keep us ahead of industry trends and engage with the whole firm.

Job purpose:

  • Advise the Management Board, partners, and practice management team on the trends in the legal technology market to keep BBK competitive in the industry. The successful candidate will report directly to our COO and Head of IT;
  • Spearhead our internal Technology Innovation Group and work collaboratively with our IT team and Head of IT to keep abreast of developments across the legal technology market;
  • Track key competitor and industry developments and recommend strategic action;
  • Manage and maintain our risk profile, AI and other regulatory requirements and standards and ensure that the implementation of new platforms and solutions safeguard against data and security risks;
  • Identify opportunities for legal technology solutions and platforms in the legal market that will complement our business strategy in tandem with safeguarding against the above risks;
  • Review the life- cycle of litigation and operational tasks across the business and identify objectives and solutions that will lead to the introduction of new AI solutions and/or other platforms and thereafter lead on the projects from implementation and delivery through to promotion of the new systems or tools;
  • Create, develop, pilot and roll out client and operational business solutions to drive efficiency and collaboration;
  • Document, and process automation to save time and cost across the business;
  • Lead on demonstrations, training and workshops, facilitate consultations by listening to what users need, and communicate with users on projects across the firm to ensure that everyone better understands our available technology and platforms;
  • Draft and work within financial budgets.

Person Specification:

  • At least 5 years working in IT innovation, including at least 2 years’ experience working with Legal IT solutions;
  • An excellent understanding of the legal services sector;
  • A creative and engaging personality, able to communicate IT solutions to lawyers.
  • Professional and positive demeanour;
  • Change management and software implementation experience;
  • Team orientated approach, sharing ideas and being curious;
  • Personal drive to improve and develop own self.
