SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of aged needs and recreational aids for elderly people
  • Proven ability to monitor and review recreational needs of elderly people
  • Demonstrable knowledge of activity programming for the aged
  • Demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of recreational activities

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting opportunity to join UnitingSA’s team as the Leisure and Lifestyle Officer. The role is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of programs and activities within a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop activities with residents
  • Provide support and guidance to residents and their families
  • Develop with the team, a weekly program of activities
  • Ensure residents are assisted to maintain their optimal level of social and physical function
  • Maintain effective relationships with residents
  • Undertake other administrative duties as directed by the Lifestyle Coordinator
