Unsere Wissenschaftler:innen werden in ihren Forschungsprojekten von zentralen Serviceeinheiten (Core Facilities) unterstützt, die Zugang zu hochentwickelten Geräten und methodischer Expertise über ein breites Spektrum modernster Technologien anbieten.
Für die Leitung der neu gegründeten Core Facility “Präklinische und Translationale Pathologie” suchen wir eine:n ausgewiesene:n Wissenschaftler:in (m/w/d) mit Erfahrung in der Präparation und Analyse von humanen und Maus-Gewebeproben. Die Position bietet die Gelegenheit, eine moderne, forschungsnahe Pathologie-Core Facility auf Basis einer existierenden kleinen Service-Unit zu konzipieren und aufzubauen. Ein Team aus 2-3 technischen Assistent:innen steht Ihnen bereits zur Verfügung. Folgende Services sollen seitens der Core Facility angeboten werden: Gewebeprozessierung; histochemische und immunhistochemische Färbungen inkl. Digitalisierung der Präparate und digital assistierter Auswertung; RNA-in-situ-Hybridisierung; Archivierung der Schnitte und Gewebeblöcke. Manuelle Protokolle sollen in automatisierte Pipelines überführt und weiter ausgebaut werden. Die Dienstleistungen werden nach dem “fee-for-service"-Prinzip angeboten, für das ein Kostenmodell zu etablieren ist.

We are seeking an experienced scientist with experience in the preparation and analysis of human and mouse tissue samples to lead the newly established Core Facility “Preclinical and Translational Pathology.” The position offers the opportunity to plan and establish a modern, research-oriented pathology core facility based on an existing small service unit. A team of 2-3 technical assistants is already available to support you. The new core facility will provide the following services: tissue processing; histochemical and immunohistochemical staining including digitization of specimens and digitally assisted evaluation; RNA in situ hybridization; archiving of sections and tissue blocks. Manual protocols are to be converted into automated pipelines and further developed. Services will be offered according to the “fee-for-service” principle, for which a cost model is to be established.
