THE OPPORTUNITY

For our Business Transformation competence team, we are looking for experienced professionals, excited about growing their careers, typically through but not limited to roles such as Business Analyst, Product Owner and Project/Program Manager. You will play a pivotal role in driving change and innovation across lending operations for our clients. Leveraging your deep expertise in lending practices, you will collaborate with banking leaders to identify areas of improvement, design strategies, and implement transformative solutions. This role is a unique opportunity to bridge your lending knowledge with cutting-edge technology and strategy, shaping the future of banking.

As a Lending Transformation Consultant, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, such as senior management, heads of departments and employees, to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the transformation journey.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and propose innovative lending solutions that align with the bank’s transformation goals.
  • Lead workshops and presentations to communicate strategies, gain stakeholder buy-in, and facilitate the implementation of recommended changes.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing lending processes, banking systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Consequently, redesign and optimize lending processes, ensuring they are streamlined, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with technology teams to ensure the successful integration of digital tools and platforms into lending operations.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational structures.
  • Ensure that the transformation initiatives align with industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Participate to, or manage projects through their complete lifecycle, including monitor the planning, budget and staffing of the team delivering the project.
  • Share your knowledge and experience in your field of lending expertise and other various domains

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. applied economics, finance, commercial engineer, mathematics, …) or equivalent through experience.
  • Proven track record in lending operations, including roles such as Loan Officer, Credit Analyst or Underwriter (2 – 4 years professional expertise).
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations, Compliance, and Risk Management in lending.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to translate complex lending concepts into practical and pragmatic solutions.
  • Outstanding client stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships through solid communication and presentation skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Fluent in either or both Dutch and French, complemented with a profound knowledge of business English.
  • Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.
  • Certifications such as PCP (Febelfin), Agile, Scrum, or other Project Management methodologies are a differentiator for more experienced candidates.
  • Prior experience in consultancy, process improvement, or banking transformation is a plus.
