We are looking for someone with a can- do attitude, loves being on the open road, and has at least 24 months Class 5 Linehaul Driving experience, operating Heavy Vehicle’s on New Zealand roads.
This is a Wellington based role that operates through to Auckland or as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Truck Driver at Big Chill Distribution, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Minimum of 24 months of experience in linehaul or long-haul truck driving.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to work independently and handle long hours.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle manual labor, including loading and unloading goods.

• Operate a Class 5 truck to transport goods efficiently and safely over long distances.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Manage documentation and logbooks accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
• Handle goods with care and ensure they are properly secured.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
