Responsibilities:

We are looking for a strong leader, who is customer focussed and digitally savvy with the skills to manage a team of staff and volunteers. Our ideal person will be welcoming and friendly , have a love for reading and be passionate about sharing this. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the confidence to be able to work with a range of partners and volunteers.
You will lead a team in offering a high-quality library and information service and you will manage and supervise the planning and delivery of a diverse range of events and activities, monitoring performance as you go. You will support and encourage customers to access online information and resources, for example accessing free eBooks and newspaper apps or helping someone find reliable information, such as applying for a passport.
Sometimes, you may be required to work at other locations and the role may involve some lone working.
