We host 1 million annual visitors, run more than 4,000 community programs and loan upwards of 1.5 million items annually. Responsibilities:

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

The Library Programs and Support Officer position is a fantastic opportunity to join Wyndham’s libraries in providing high quality library and information services to our library visitors.
Reporting to the Werribee Library Branch Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with regular collection maintenance duties and for providing administrative support to the branch. You will also need to be prepared to undergo training in program delivery and to deliver programs, for varied age groups on an ad hoc basis. Some examples of our programs are pre-school story times, code club for young people, and English Conversation Club for adults. During rostered desk shifts you will also be a designated Team Leader, providing guidance and support to other staff.
This role is very diverse, and you will be able to gain skills and knowledge in many different areas of public library work. A perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, or who is wishing to see what area of Librarianship they may choose to specialise in. This position would also be a great starting point for someone who has completed their library technician qualification or has commenced studies in librarianship.
Please note that this position may be required to work from any Wyndham Library site, and will be rostered to work Saturday morning shifts as part of a regular work pattern.
