Brimbank Libraries is a dynamic public library service in Melbourne’s western suburbs delivering a range of services and programs to the community to support lifelong learning, literacy and social connection.
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an Early Years professional who is committed to nurturing curious and creative young minds, offering engaging learning programs and weekly activities that foster a love for learning to:
- Deliver excellent direct customer service at all service points as rostered across opening hours, including weekends and evenings
- Lead a diverse team to plan, deliver and evaluate a range of library programs, including literacy, cultural, STEAM and parenting activities, that result in positive literacy, learning and social connection outcomes for children 0-5 years, their family and carers
- Provide support in the management of the libraries print and digital collections
- Lead and build capacity in program development and delivery
- Provide reader’s advisory services to foster a love of reading and learning
- Develop and enhance collaborative partnerships with Council work units, early years education providers and early years focused organisations to deliver a range of sustainable programs and services.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where children and their family / carers feel welcome, valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their interests and needs.
- Utilise technology and digital resources to enhance library services, including online learning platforms, educational apps, and virtual programming.
