Fountain Tire Nanaimo is expanding it’s mechanical business to an 11 bay shop! And is looking for responsible, safe and dedicated associates to join our team as a Licensed Automotive Service Technician. If you are looking for the opportunity to work in a beautiful, clean shop with state of the art equipment, with lots of opportunity to make extra money with overtime and productivity bonuses, this is the job for you!
Compensation: $43.50 / hour for a highly motivated, organized individual that is available to work a minimum of 5 days per week 8 hours per day. Overtime available, productivity bonus available. Guarantee of 8 hours per day!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician + CVI Inspection Certification
• Diesel experience is an asset
• A valid driver’s license is a must. We also need to see that you are responsible on the road by providing a satisfactory driver’s abstract
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
• A team player who takes pride in their work

• Diagnose, repair and complete service on customer vehicles as directed by work orders
• Complete and maintain a variety of safety courses including Whimis, TIA, Rim Safety course, and Customer Experience Standards
• Advise customers and customer-facing Associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.

• Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
