Description:
The goal of home care is to promote overall basic safety, rehabilitation, and daily functioning. Home care services are implemented by supporting the well-being, health, and functional capacity of the elderly, as well as fostering independent coping and participation in daily life.
The duties of a care assistant are related to taking care of the basic needs of the client and assisting them in various tasks. These include, among others, bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and outdoor activities. Additionally, the tasks involve maintaining the clients functional ability and enhancing the meaningfulness of everyday life.
In home care, the practical nurses work involves comprehensive care and support for the client. Tasks include, among others, taking care of the clients hygiene, administering medication, and ensuring proper nutrition. Monitoring the effects of medications is a significant part of the job description.
