Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year post-secondary diploma in Legal Assistant Program, Law Clerk or Business (Accounting), or other related diploma, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. AMCT Designation will be considered an asset.
- Three (3) years recent experience in a substantially similar work environment
- Demonstrated decision making skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, be self-motivated and work effectively independently or on a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conflict resolution skills and ability to deal tactfully with charitable organizations, business owners, landlords and the general public.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles.
- Thorough understanding including detailed functional knowledge of technology and programs such as: Microsoft Office, and relevant financial software.
- Good working knowledge of office methods and procedures
- Demonstrated exceptional planning, organizing and time management
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret legislative requirements as well as City By-Laws.
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid meal period
Environment: Unionized
Hourly Rate: $30.55 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)
