Do you possess ‘hands on’ multimedia production skills with a knowledge of contemporary adult learning practices? Do you want to work for the premier custodian of Australia’s published, written, oral and digital heritage, and contribute to our world-leading efforts to providing access to that heritage?
Our ideal candidate is a dynamic, ‘self-starter’ that possesses applied multimedia production skills and knowledge of contemporary adult learning practices. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills to support our subject matter ‘talent’ to produce digital content for the web, podcasts, webinars, and other digital engagement products.

Responsibilities:

The National Library of Australia’s role, as defined by the National Library Act 1960, is to ensure that documentary resources of national significance relating to Australia and the Australian people, as well as significant non-Australian library materials, are collected, preserved and made accessible.
We take our role to make the collection accessible seriously. Our world-leading digital services ensure that all Australians can access the collection and pursue their research goals. The Library is now pursuing the delivery of a new initiative to assist Australians to develop the capability, and the confidence, to engage with our collection and meet their research goals.
We are seeking an experienced education and multimedia production professional to deliver our new Lifelong Learning initiative and lead the Library’s education team. This exciting new position will be responsible for driving an uplift in our multimedia capability and the development of digital adult learning activities. You will prefer working in a fast-paced, team environment to produce digital content that equips Australians with the skills and confidence they need to engage with our vast collection.
