EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in social or recreational programming in a senior setting or related experience

• Communicate with Healthcare Lifestyle Coordinator on a regular basis to inform, exchange ideas, coordinate services and discuss format for individual and group programming. Also shares insight, information, and reports responses and/or progress regarding residents maintaining confidentiality when appropriate
• Carries out large, small, and one-to-one events for the purpose of providing social and spiritual support as well as promoting cognitive and physical well-being
• Informs residents and staff of changes in scheduled programming in a timely manner
• Assistants staff in maintaining member attendance records
• Recognizes signs and symptoms which signify a change in condition that require nursing intervention and reports these changes to the appropriate channels. Shares resident information with staff on a need-to-know basis. Remains alert for conditions that threaten the safety and well being of staff and residents. Reports hazardous conditions to appropriate channels
• Works closely with Volunteer Coordinator
• Coordinates with Healthcare Lifestyles Coordinator and/or Manager weekend event plans and supply needs
• Enjoys working with Seniors on a 1 to 1 or group basis
• Comfortable leading group activities
• Flexible and self-motivate
