We are currently recruiting for a Railway Junior Designer with experience in railway design, to join our busy and expanding experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering railway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Canada. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).

Responsibilities:

  • Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures
  • Independently preparing design calculations or reports related to linear infrastructure elements (geometric design)
  • Performs different analysis and design of linear infrastructures projects under designer’s supervision covering at least the following fields: railway geometric design, P-Way, track design, etc.
  • Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
  • Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
    Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements
  • Proven track record of working on railway designs (+4 years).
  • Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
  • Skilled in geometrical design at least one of the following software packages: OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D
  • Advanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
  • Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
  • Communicative level of English (oral and written)
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering
  • US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
