Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep Linux OS knowledge in the area of kernel, file systems, device driver, networking, security, user interface, systemd, daemons, etc.
  • High level scripting languages like Python, Bash.
  • Server management, including monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
  • Virtualization and Container technology, e.g. Docker, VMware, etc.
  • Continuous Integration / Delivery Jenkins
  • Configuration management, e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Git knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation writing.
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities:

FUTURE TASKS:

  • Support development of new Linux OS features, contributing to high-profile enterprise open-source projects of strategic importance.
  • Work with team to ensure compliance, security and alignment with enterprise-related functionalities (e.g. integration into Active Directory, certificate enrollment, infrastructure … etc.)
  • Manage development, maintenance, and distribution of Ubuntu packages using dpkg and APT. Ensure packages are stable and compatible across Ubuntu systems.
  • Server infrastructure management
  • Automate test components, code linting and improve CI/CD delivery pipeline
  • Participate actively in developer forums and communities
  • Perform peer code reviews, documentation, architecture diagrams and champion clean coding practices.
