Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep Linux OS knowledge in the area of kernel, file systems, device driver, networking, security, user interface, systemd, daemons, etc.
- High level scripting languages like Python, Bash.
- Server management, including monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
- Virtualization and Container technology, e.g. Docker, VMware, etc.
- Continuous Integration / Delivery Jenkins
- Configuration management, e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Git knowledge.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation writing.
- Fluency in English
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
FUTURE TASKS:
- Support development of new Linux OS features, contributing to high-profile enterprise open-source projects of strategic importance.
- Work with team to ensure compliance, security and alignment with enterprise-related functionalities (e.g. integration into Active Directory, certificate enrollment, infrastructure … etc.)
- Manage development, maintenance, and distribution of Ubuntu packages using dpkg and APT. Ensure packages are stable and compatible across Ubuntu systems.
- Server infrastructure management
- Automate test components, code linting and improve CI/CD delivery pipeline
- Participate actively in developer forums and communities
- Perform peer code reviews, documentation, architecture diagrams and champion clean coding practices.
