Description:

The Linux Infrastructure Management Department has been tasked with helping Desjardins move to the cloud, by providing support and expertise to the business lines as needed. As a Linux system administrator, you’ll be responsible for configuring, maintaining and upgrading Linux server management systems based on the organization’s needs. You’ll also be taking on an expert role, helping lead practitioners on infrastructure maintenance projects and initiatives. You execute innovate, complex strategic initiatives. As a Linux system administrator, you’ll be required to:

  • Design solutions that reflect the “Infrastructure as Code” philosophy using a set of standardized Ansible/TOWER tools, in a highly virtualized environment on an internal infrastructure
  • Work as a team to help colleagues develop, improve and update automated functions, whether they’re creating new solutions or improving existing tools
  • Propose and participate in the development of innovative, next-gen solutions
  • Help develop technologies by offering suggestions, advice and expertise, for both solutions and methods (standards and practices)

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of modern virtual environments (ESX-V, ESX-T)
  • Expertise in projects for large organizations
  • Expertise in Linux infrastructure administration
  • Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8
  • Expertise using Ansible
