Our Edmonton office is looking for a Litigation Support Services Specialist. Reporting directly to the Litigation Support Services Manager, this is a role where you will work with a variety of practice groups within the firm.
You will understand the importance of confidentiality in a professional setting and have an exceptional attention to detail. We place great value in a candidate’s ability to recognize the importance of team work to participate in facilitating a culture of collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of one or more eDiscovery platforms such as Casepoint, Nextpoint, Relativity and Eclipse.
- Advanced computer and technical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of litigation process at all levels of Court.
- Team player, cooperative, flexible, and professional.
- A high level of skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail and superior time management and organizations skills.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner.
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy while working under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include:
- Database administration and technical support for eDiscovery platforms (Casepoint and Eclipse).
- Managing and organizing incoming electronic evidence.
- Opening and maintenance databases.
- Organization, unitization and loading of records into databases, including coding where required.
- Editing of database load files as required and loading of electronic records and metadata received from outside parties into databases.
- Exporting data from eDiscovery platforms, including generating database load files and/or PDF production sets.
- Interacting with outside entities (such as clients, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed.
- Communicating regularly with Lawyers, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants in a professional manner.
- Tracking and recording time.
- Tracking of data usage on cloud platform and managing same.
