This is a 24hr live in position working with Children and Youth with Special Needs
Shift starts on Friday Morning and ends on Monday Morning
Must have a BC Class 5 Drivers License with clear Drivers Abstract
Cleared Criminal Record
General Job Description:
Pathway Community Services Ltd. Provides residential support services to children with a wide range of abilities and challenges, who have been diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, FASD, ASD, developmental delays , mental health issues , as well as high risk behaviours. In order to work successfully within our team, the ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic and a high standard of practice in all areas.
As well, the ideal candidate should have the flexibility and willingness to work with children who may present high risk and challenging behaviours. Availability to engage in ongoing training is needed. Managing emergency situations in a stressful environment is an ongoing expectation. Evening and weekend work is required.
Knowledge and adherence to Pathway Community Services Ltd’s policies is expected.
