Description:

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), one of the nation’s largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations, is currently searching for a streaming production specialist to act as videographer, director, crew, and editor, in the classroom, studio, and remote locations to produce live educational engineering courses. We are looking for the right person to join our team of professionals providing civil engineers with the continuing education needed to advance their careers and build the world of tomorrow.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating audio, video, and technology equipment to produce top-quality hybrid and web events
  • Following standard operating procedures/checklists for audio/video production and provide input as necessary
  • Setting up, testing, and troubleshooting real-time equipment, streaming, and other technical issues
  • Exploring advanced new technologies, including AI/LLM-based tools, and making recommendations to create a wide range of projects, ranging from interviews to podcasts, to company videos and promotional spots
  • Converting live web events to on-demand self-study products
  • Coordinating with event coordinators on scheduling and requirements for the web event setup process when instructed.
  • Responding to webcast-related customer service issues before, during, and after web events, as well as staff customer service issues, providing live customer service, & acting as hybrid meeting facilitator if needed
  • Monitoring the ondemandlearning@asce.org customer service inbox and responding to inquiries and assisting customers
  • Assisting with video editing using Camtasia and adding captions using Whisper AI for On-demand catalog submissions
  • Assisting with committee-sponsored education virtual events using Zoom including hosting the room and using unique zoom features required by speakers (polling, breakouts rooms, etc.)
  • Post producing, editing, and captioning the recording preparing the file for the On-demand catalog
  • Attending and providing on-site coordination for registration, collecting evaluations, distributing PDH verifications, supporting speakers, addressing all onsite issues & reconciling attendance
  • Circulating invoices and expenses for reimbursements after manager approval

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience working in association continuing education or similar experience
  • Strong editing and post-production skills
  • Experience with A/V equipment with the desire to acquire new skills and learn new technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Camtasia and Articulate Storyline software is a plus or experience editing videos and building learning exercises
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, Zoom, & MS Teams
  • Strong project management skills and strict attention to detail
