MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced university degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, environmental engineering, environmental science, biology, sustainable agriculture (including livestock, forestry, and fisheries), or related field.
- Five years of relevant experience in assessing environmental impacts through production chains, in particular from greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and preferably for livestock agrifood systems.
- Working knowledge (proficient – level C) of English and limited knowledge (intermediate – level B) of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions, is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
- Experience with the management and processing of large (geospatial) data sets.
- Extent and relevance of experience in working with inter-governmental bodies and multidisciplinary and multi-cultural environments.
- Demonstrated ability to draft concise technical reports and/or scientific publications.
- Relevance and extent of experience in effectively managing multiple project components.
- Demonstrated experience in developing web applications and/or visualization dashboards is considered an asset.
