Platinum Livestock & Real Estate (PLRE) is a significant industry participant in the South Australian Livestock marketplace and is a Joint Venture (JV) between Private Investors and Nutrien Ag Solutions. PLRE is an independent organization providing high quality services and products to our extensive customer & client base. Nutrien Ag Solutions, our JV partner, is the world’s largest provider of crop nutrients and inputs and is a leading, global presence in Agricultural products and services.
From our South Australian base, PLRE is supported by and interacts with an extensive network, including a strong relationship with the Platinum Ag Services business, and the Nutrien network. Our Real Estate business creates a further connection with our Rural and Regional clients.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing administrative tasks for our Livestock business, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, banking, livestock and clearing sale processing, stock control, ordering, receipting.
- Assist customers and clients with pricing and product queries.
- Maintaining safety processes and always acting in a safe way.
- Livestock marketing and client awareness.
- Provide effective data processing support to livestock agents.
- Analyze, systems, procedures, and business data, as required by our team and management.
- Assist in the management of debtors including credit department and senior management direction.
- Opportunity to work at our various saleyard operations
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and ideally have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture. A background in livestock administration is highly desirable but not a pre-requisite. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge or experience with cattle and /or sheep livestock is advantageous but not essential.
- Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer and client relationships.
- Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly.
- Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes.
- Excellent computer skills including Word, and Outlook & the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- You will be proficient in Excel as you will need to create reports and analyse data
