YOUR EXPERIENCE

You will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing and tourism industry experience is desired but not essential. You will pride yourself on your organisation skills and your ability to switch priorities on short notice. You have a particular interest in budgeting and market forecasting and their relationship to successful outcomes. Your analytical thinking is of the highest order and your campaign implementation coordination is second to none.
You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Discovery Parks is embracing the new normal and is undertaking a historic transformation to build the Park experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into the tactical marketing strategies required to support Discovery Resorts on an individual and regional level. Working in collaboration with our dedicated and enthusiastic Park Managers and the Regional Operations Managers, you will drive the business forward by developing and delivering local area marketing plans to drive accommodation bookings and revenue objectives. You will be the driving force behind our Resorts’ promotion and distribution via multiple channels. Dealing day to day with the broader marketing team on digital, social, direct and content marketing initiatives, this diverse role will be both challenging and rewarding.
This dynamic opportunity will challenge your commercial experience to ensure you question current strategies and provide insight into new trends.

This role will require you to:

  • Own the brand and product collateral at a local level for the Discovery Resorts brand, across your allocated portfolio
  • Work across a wide marketing skill set, both traditional and digital
  • Leverage partnership opportunities in the tourism industry relating to your park portfolio
  • Provide solutions and work cross functionally to meet park and regional revenue targets
  • Effectively launch new and redeveloped property assets to meet business targets
  • Assist in the development of park centric content designed to optimize search ranking and drive booking conversion
  • Effective reporting on outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with the Regional Operations Managers, Park Managers, Revenue Managers, broader marketing team and external stakeholders
