We are looking now for a new Local Communications and Marketing Lead at Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing an integrated (internal and external) communications strategy for the division, in collaboration with the global division communications team. You will work with multiple stakeholders to position Distribution Solutions externally and drive business impact connecting the dots across Electrification as needed.
The key to this role is collaboration. As you will be working with local business leaders and the division communication team members globally while externally developing a robust communications network, seeking to promote and gain knowledge of current practices and innovation.

Your responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing the external thought leadership and social media communications strategy and messaging that elevates the position of Distribution Solutions locally and supports the local division strategy.
  • In close alignment with the global division communications team, being accountable for executing local marketing communications strategies and action plans to support the local division growth ambitions and strategy.

  • Planning and managing the content for different states of the buying funnel - awareness, consideration, intent to purchase.

  • Being accountable for developing and implementing the annual internal communications plan to support the ongoing local business priorities.

  • Leading the local external customer communications and thought leadership editorial calendar, content and storyline through all communication channels to establish coherent internal and external messaging and customer engagement along the buying funnel.
  • Creating materials that can include, but are not limited to internal articles, external customer success stories, case studies, customer presentations, scripts, podcasts, market collateral, etc.
  • Ensuring positioning and impact of the local divisions related content in local external and internal communications channels in support of the local division strategy. Following global KPIs to track and improve communications effectiveness across various media and channels. Maintaining effective measurement and monitoring workflow for their area of scope.
  • Partnering with the local sales and marketing team on key campaigns and leading the marketing communications side, including events and tradeshows.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in Marketing, Advertising, PR, Communications or similar.
  • Extensive experience and several years of proven track-record from B2B communications and marketing positions in a global technology focused environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills coupled with experience in executing and nurturing customer communications campaigns. (Note that a writing exercise will be included as part of the recruitment process.)
  • Highly collaborative leader who can thrive in a matrixed organization with their excellent analytical and time-management skills.
  • Experience managing outside vendors, excellent at building relationships.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Swedish skills are seen as a benefit
