Locum Consultant Emergency Medicine (EDGH)

To support developments within the Emergency Departments, East Sussex Healthcare Trust requires further Locum Consultants in Emergency Medicine. The post holders will assist in the provision of a high quality emergency service as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team
approach to care within the speciality.
Applicants must have full GMC registration
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operates two level 1 emergency departments at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital with Conquest designated as a Trauma Unit.
Applications are invited for the post of locum consultant in emergency medicine. The appointee will join the existing consultants to complete a team of five at each emergency department.
Duties will be based at Eastbourne but may on occasion work cross-site at Conquest with a 1 in 6 weekend and 1:5 on call. It is anticipated that when all posts are filled the timetabled PAs of all consultants will allow shop floor cover for the following hours: -
A rotation between Monday-Fri shop floor cover 0800-1700 (or 1900 if on call)
Sat-Sun 0800-1600 shop floor and 1in 6 on call.
Consultant shifts to be covered are 1200 to 2200, 1400 to 0000 and 1600-0200
