Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing and successful Private Care Division within Europe’s largest cancer centre and to provide the highest standards of support to our patients.
This position provides a vital role in a highly committed, professional team supporting access to treatment for our Embassy-sponsored patients and guaranteeing funding from their sponsors.
The successful candidate will be a versatile, lateral thinker with an eye for detail and excellent customer service skills. They will be an articulate, confident communicator, comfortable in dealing with people at all levels in a polite, empathetic and professional manner. They will be energetic and resilient, able to demonstrate initiative as well as prioritise a busy workload, and go above and beyond to ensure that our patients and their families are well supported and that the risk of debt to The Royal Marsden is minimised.

To demonstrate a professional, courteous, caring attitude offering consultants, patients and their families a high standard of customer service at all times.

To call and inform the patient if the LOG has not been received a day before the appointment/admission

  • To process future booking reports on daily basis, at least 48 hours in advance;
  • To re-process future booking for the following day every day to check for extra appointments that have been added on and request additional letters;
  • To email future bookings list arranged in time order to the International Centre Administrator to inform them of patients’ appointments’ times and locations.
  • To check the inpatient list for any emergency admission and request the letters of guarantee.
  • To revisit missing LOGs list daily and request submission by Embassy contact by phone/email/fax;
  • When missing letters are received to scan on to the EPR system and make notes on to hospital accounting system;
  • To attach received missing LOGs to invoices and update missing letters spreadsheet;
