Overview:
Verathon® is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to become the newest member of our Operations team located in our Amsterdam, Netherlands office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the inter-company ordering and receiving process working in concert with HQ
- Provide materials delivery and support for the service team in the Amsterdam office
- Creates, designs, implements, and maintains daily performance management culture
- Execute on best-in-class inventory planning and cycle count program
- Monitors stock levels & values and initiates activities for reduction of stock value in inventory (e.g.: slow moving items, damaged stock)
- Delivery high on time delivery (OTD) service level to direct customers and distributors
- Develop a metric-based approach and key performance indicators to measure the shipping team’s performance
- Analyse the performance of the logistics (inbound + outbound) in terms of cost & services and make improvements
- Work collaboratively with inter-related departments within the EU and US teams to achieve business goals
- Manage and oversee the Material Review Board (MRB) process for non-conforming material within the EU distribution center
- Utilize lean tools and strategies for process improvement and waste reduction to drive out cost
- Set clear goals for the team in alignment with OPS department goals to execute supply chain strategies
- Work cross functionally to resolve complex business problems.
- Manage talent acquisition and development for the Logistics team
- Manage staff with a standard scheduling structure to support a lean culture and operational excellence
- Continuation of Verathon’s Mission and Objectives
- Ensure adherence to Roper’s Code of Ethics, Compliance initiatives, Workplace Harassment and Technology & Privacy guidelines
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience with proven track record of achievements gained in working in similar markets and companies, preferably in a medical device, pharmaceutical or capital equipment organization Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working for a U.S. based manufacturing company highly preferred
- Experience in logistics, planning, demand forecasting, and procurement
- Solid knowledge of the logistics supplier market, highly desirable
- Knowledge of competitive advantage through applying an understanding of the market and external environment to all business activities
- Must have strong analysis skills with ability to apply good judgment to business planning and commercial matters
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
